Grief Support Program Offered

The Airdrie and District Hospice Society will be offering a free 8 week Grief Support Program for adults grieving the loss of a loved one. This program, which is designed for small groups of adults, will be run by trained volunteer facilitators.

"Dealing with the death of someone close to you is not easy," noted Wendy Timmermans, a board member with the Hospice Society. "We can gain much from others in the same situation and can benefit from learning some healthy ways to move through those intense emotions.

Sessions will be held online via Zoom on Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 7:45 pm beginning on April 8th and running until May 20th, 2021.This format is in accordance with provincial health regulations and does make it easier for participants who may live a distance outside the city of Airdrie.
