LAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE

Airdrie, Alberta: Join Airdrie and District Hospice Society on February 12th 2022 for the 2nd Annual Virtual Humour for Hospice Fundraising Event.

This comedy event, Humour for Hospice, will have two amazing comedian performances.

Opening for Jean Paul will be Laurie Elliott a stand-up comic, actor, and television writer. She is a winner of the Tim Sims Encouragement Fund Award and is a four-time winner of Best Female Stand Up at The Canadian Comedy Awards.

Headlining the evening will be Jean Paul, a Trinidad-born comedian who has also been nominated for several prestigious awards, including the Tim Sims’ Award for up-and-coming comedians, and a Gemini Award for Best Writing in a Comedy Series.

Jean and Laurie will entertain guests February 12th, starting at 7 p.m., from the comfort and safety of their own homes.

Enjoy a full hour of laughter but don’t forget the silent auction, which is available for bidding from February 1st to the 12th, 2022 and will feature a wide variety of items generously provided by local businesses and individuals.

Our goal is $10,000 and proceeds from the event will go towards enabling the Society to continue to offer all its programs at no cost. For a full listing of our programs visit airdriehospice.ca.

“We planned this virtual social gathering to bring a little light and laughter into people’s lives at a time when they may be feeling very lonely and isolated,” said Daria Skibington-Roffel, President of the Board , “We hope that getting some hearty laughs together will lift spirits while helping some of the most vulnerable people in our community.”

Airdrie and District Hospice Society is a charitable organization dedicated to serving those living with grief. We provide compassionate care to those living with a life limiting illness and our services are provided free of charge thanks to donors and supporters.

Tickets are $35.00 per person and can be purchased online.
