Tree of Hope 2021
On Wednesday, December 1st, the Airdrie & District Hospice Society is honoured to hold its ninth annual Tree of Hope celebration at Airdrie City Hall. The Tree will be lit at 7:00 pm that evening followed by a short non-denominational memorial service for loved ones we have lost. This is a free event and open to the public. We encourage everyone to follow COVID protocol and wear a mask.
"The Holiday season is one of the most difficult to get through when you've lost someone close to you. To remember those who are no longer with us at this time, the Tree of Hope lighting is a compassionate event to recognise the grief that some community members must cope with during what is normally one of the happiest celebrations of the year.
Throughout the month of December, the Hospice Society will be accepting donations through the Tree of Hope campaign.
This year the Society will also be selling beautiful angel and tulip stained-glass ornaments for $20 apiece. These keepsake ornaments, created locally by Mukluks Magpies, may be purchased in memory of someone who has passed or, alternately, individuals may make a donation in a loved one's memory to the Airdrie & District Hospice Society at
